Choosing The Perfect Bridal Gown

It is not unusual for a bride to be quite picky when it comes to choosing the bridal gown to wear at her wedding. As cynical as the world may get when it comes to weddings, the truth is that a woman becomes a bride only once in her life. Her wedding day is the day when a woman should appear to be at her absolute best. To achieve that, she must wear a bridal gown that is just perfect for her.

The emotional strings that a bridal gown holds for a woman sometimes make the task of finding the perfect one a very daunting task. Many brides get frazzled with the number of decisions they need to make just with choosing what bridal gown to wear, let alone the other details that she must attend to in arranging her wedding. Thankfully, some carefully planning can turn the difficult task of finding the perfect bridal gown into a very enjoyable one.

If you are in the market for a bridal gown, then you should start looking for the right dress at least six months before your wedding day. It takes time to choose a bridal gown that will suit you the best from among hundreds and hundreds of styles and designs available to you. Moreover, getting a bridal gown specially made for you can take four to six months to accomplish, and you need to allow a little more time for possible alterations.

You can start your search by compiling pictures of bridal gowns that you like. You can download these pictures from the Internet or cut them out from bridal magazines. If you fancy the bridal gown that your mother, your sister, your friend or even your grandmother wore to her wedding, get a picture of it. Put all the pictures you have collected in a file so you can have something to consult when choosing the style of your own bridal gown.

When choosing the style of your bridal gown, there are a couple of things that you need to consider. First is that the theme and formality of your wedding ceremony, as well as where the ceremony shall be held. Goodness knows how uncomfortable and out of place you would be at your own wedding if you are wearing a heavy bridal gown with a long veil and train and the wedding is held at a beach.

If your wedding is a formal evening affair, your bridal gown should be a floor-length gown with a train. You may also need to wear gloves. If it is a semi-formal event, whether it is to be held in the evening or during the daytime, your bridal gown should be something that reaches your ankles. You can have a veil with that gown, but no train. If your wedding is going to be a day affair, or if it is your second wedding, you can wear a long dress or a short dress without a veil. You can also wear a suit with a skirt and dress it up with a smart-looking hat. <The second thing that you must consider when choosing the style of your bridal gown is that your gown must flatter the shape of your body, embellishing its finer points and hiding or camouflaging its not-so-fine points. It should also be something that you are comfortable wearing. Here are a few suggestions on what style could flatter your body:

1. If you are tall and if you have a slim figure, there is no need to worry. You can wear a bridal gown of just about any style.

2. If you have an hourglass figure, meaning your bust and your hips are in proportion and you have a defined waist, you could go for a V-neck bridal gown with an A-line skirt. The V-neck of your bodice can accentuate the fullness of your bust while an A-line skirt can look poofy enough without making your hips look too wide.

3. If you have a pear-shaped figure, meaning your body is bottom-heavy and your hips are wide, you should wear a bridal gown with a few extra details on the bodice and an A-line skirt. The detailing on your bodice, be it beadings or embroidery, will draw the eyes to your bust while de-emphasizing your hips. An empire-style gown with a draping skirt would look nice too.

4. If you are short and with a very slight figure, you need a bridal gown that will create the illusion of a fuller figure. You could go with an off-shoulder dress with a shawl-like collar and a skirt that flares out from below the middle of your thighs.

As much as you need to take your time when choosing the perfect bridal gown for you, if you fall in love with a specific dress and know that it is the one for you, end your search and buy the dress without hesitation. If you leave the store without buying that bridal gown, some other bride will find it and any bridal gown you choose later on will only be a poor second.

Writing The Article

Just as a builder would hesitate to erect a house without a carefully worked-out plan, so a writer should be loath to begin an article before he has outlined it fully. In planning a building, an architect considers how large a house his client desires, how many rooms he must provide, how the space available may best be apportioned among the rooms, and what relation the rooms are to bear to one another. In outlining an article, likewise, a writer needs to determine how long it must be, what material it should include, how much space should be devoted to each part, and how the parts should be arranged. Time spent in thus planning an article is time well spent.

Outlining the subject fully involves thinking out the article from beginning to end. The value of each item of the material gathered must be carefully weighed; its relation to the whole subject and to every part must be considered. The arrangement of the parts is of even greater importance, because much of the effectiveness of the presentation will depend upon a logical development of the thought. In the last analysis, good writing means clear thinking, and at no stage in the preparation of an article is clear thinking more necessary than in the planning of it.

Amateurs sometimes insist that it is easier to write without an outline than with one. It undoubtedly does take less time to dash off a special feature story than it does to think out all of the details and then write it. In nine cases out of ten, however, when a writer attempts to work out an article as he goes along, trusting that his ideas will arrange themselves, the result is far from a clear, logical, well-organized presentation of his subject. The common disinclination to make an outline is usually based on the difficulty that most persons experience in deliberately thinking about a subject in all its various aspects, and in getting down in logical order the results of such thought. Unwillingness to outline a subject generally means unwillingness to think.

The length of an article is determined by two considerations: the scope of the subject, and the policy of the publication for which it is intended. A large subject cannot be adequately treated in a brief space, nor can an important theme be disposed of satisfactorily in a few hundred words. The length of an article, in general, should be proportionate to the size and the importance of the subject.< The deciding factor, however, in fixing the length of an article is the policy of the periodical for which it is designed. One popular publication may print articles from 4000 to 6000 words, while another fixes the limit at 1000 words. It would be quite as bad judgment to prepare a 1000-word article for the former, as it would be to send one of 5000 words to the latter. Periodicals also fix certain limits for articles to be printed in particular departments. One monthly magazine, for instance, has a department of personality sketches which range from 800 to 1200 words in length, while the other articles in this periodical contain from 2000 to 4000 words.

The practice of printing a column or two of reading matter on most of the advertising pages influences the length of articles in many magazines. To obtain an attractive make-up, the editors allow only a page or two of each special article, short story, or serial to appear in the first part of the magazine, relegating the remainder to the advertising pages. Articles must, therefore, be long enough to fill a page or two in the first part of the periodical and several columns on the pages of advertising. Some magazines use short articles, or "fillers," to furnish the necessary reading matter on these advertising pages.

Newspapers of the usual size, with from 1000 to 1200 words in a column, have greater flexibility than magazines in the matter of make-up, and can, therefore, use special feature stories of various lengths. The arrangement of advertisements, even in the magazine sections, does not affect the length of articles. The only way to determine exactly the requirements of different newspapers and magazines is to count the words in typical articles in various departments.

10 Ways Web Site Text Can Impact Your Reader's

The appearance of your web site text can actually
increase or decrease your sales. The size, font, style
and color of your text can easily affect your reader's
buying decision. Below are ten points to consider
when typing text on your web site.


1. Easy To Read- You want to make it easy for your
visitors to read your text. You don't want to use a light
colored text like yellow on a white background and
you don't want to use dark blue text on a black back-
ground.


2. Create A Mood- You want to use the color of
your text to create a mood for the reader. If you want
to create excitement, use some red text. If you want to
create greed, use a some green text. Use colors that
would put you in a mood to buy your product.


3. Grab Their Attention- You can grab your readers
attention by using headlines. Make the headline more
noticeable by using a different colored headline than
your ad copy. This offsets the headline and pulls the
reader into the rest of your ad copy.


4. Highlight Keywords- You can emphasize phrases
and keywords that are important to your readers. For
instance, use super, deluxe, fast, low price, free, new,
etc. You could use bolding, underlining, italics, color
changing, etc.


5. Sizing It Up- You don't want to use text that is too
small or to large. You want to use larger text for yourheadlines and subheadings. You want to use smaller
text for your ad copy. If your grandparents can't read
it, it's too small.


6. Don't Use All CAPS!- You don't want to use all
capital letters in your ad copy. It looks unprofessional
and is hard to read. You may want to use all CAPS
in your headlines to offset it.


7. Font Properly- You want to use a text font that
relates to the product or services your selling. You
don't want to use a comic type font when your selling
business books.


8. Spacing Out- It's important to use spaces properly
when typing your text. You should indent and bullet
key benefits your product or service will give the
reader. Your headlines, subheadings, sentences and
paragraphs should be consistently spaced throughout
your web site.


9. I Need Sunglasses- Don't use all bright text colors
and backgrounds on your web site. It will make your
text hard to read and actually bother your readers'
eyes to the point they just decide to leave your site.


10. Check The Readability- It's important to check
your spelling and grammar before you upload your
web page. When writing an ad copy you're allowed to
break some of those grammar rules to get your point

how To Avoid Phishing Scams

In today's world the Internet is becoming as common as sliced bread. Most people use it to send e-mails, browse for information, carry out banking transactions, and shop. So it shouldn't be a surprise that some people are embracing the technology for less-than-kosher purposes. Phishing scams in particular are a major concern. Luckily, if you want to avoid becoming the next victim of identity theft, there are ways to protect yourself from harm.

What exactly is phishing (pronounced "fishing")? Phishers use e-mail, brand hijacking, and scare tactics to catch uninformed people off guard and steal their private information. Usually these scammers operate by sending out a whole bunch of spam e-mails to a long list of recipients. Each message is made to look as if it comes from a trustworthy company, such as eBay or a big banking institution.

The second element of the e-mail involves an appeal to your emotions. To achieve this goal, the sender claims there is a problem or crisis that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. The e-mails use urgent, professional language, and request personal information. They may even direct you to a spoofed web page where you are asked to input the requested data.

If you visit the fake website, it may appear to be authentic, and oftentimes the true URL is even masked to hide the fact that the website isn't legitimate. The website asks you to provide confidential information in order to solve the "issue," which might include social security numbers, account numbers, passwords, and other sensitive information. Phishers base their attempts on the hope that a few fish in the sea will be tricked into believing the e-mail and web page to be genuine, and hand over their personal information without realizing their mistake – until it's too late.

Unfortunately, phishers are beginning to employ more insidious tactics, such as planting spyware viruses, to try and get your personal information. Often these viruses are designed to remain dormant until they can easily snatch your sensitive data. Once the virus is on your computer system, your Internet activities are monitored so that when you visit a specific site (one that requires you to log in, for example) the virus takes action and either diverts you to a fraudulent site or logs your keystrokes as you enter relevant passwords, account numbers, and other such information. If you don't have virus and spyware protection software, contracting a spyware virus is a very real threat.

In the face of an increase in phishing scams, it's necessary to learn how to avoid them, if you can. But there is good news. You can keep from being a phishing victim, just by following a few simple measures:

Being informed about spam e-mails and spoofed websites is one of the best ways to guard against falling victim to a phishing attempt. If you know what to look out for and can recognize key factors in fraudulent e-mails, you'll be able to keep your identity as safe as possible. For instance, spam e-mails may contain the company's logo and appear official, but when you look closely, there are several warning signs that can give scammers away. Sometimes the e-mails have spelling mistakes or the language doesn't sound quite right. But the best indicator is the request itself – legitimate companies never ask for you to verify your account, or to send your account information via e-mail. If you want to make sure everything is safe with your account, simply direct yourself to the website (without clicking any links within the suspicious e-mail) and log in directly to check on things, or call to confirm the sender's identity and the truth of the request. Do not send the information onlineSecondly, don't become frightened by the urgency of an e-mail or feel under pressure to answer immediately, without a second thought. Scare tactics are common when it comes to phishing, as a means to extract private information from unsuspecting people. Often the e-mail will declare that your account will be shut down until you provide the necessary data, but in reality, organizations don't conduct business in such a manner. Again, if you're concerned about your account, call the institution directly to verify the matter.

A generic e-mail request is another indicator of a phishing scam. Because scammers tend to send out spam to a large number of people, the e-mails they send aren't usually personalized. Authentic e-mails that arrive from your bank or other official organization include your name.

Never click on a link embedded in an e-mail message. Always visit the site on your own by typing it into your web browser and visiting it directly. That will ensure that you arrive at a legitimate site, at which point you can log in and check on the status of your account.

And never send confidential information to the sender by filling out a form present in the e-mail. Again, use your common sense and send the information over the phone or by visiting the website directly.

When entering credit card numbers and other important data online through a website, check that the site is authentic and utilizes encryption to secure the information. You can verify this by looking for a "locked" icon in one corner of your browser. The web address should also begin with "https" rather than a "http."

But be careful: some phishing sites put fake lock icons on their web pages. For inexperienced web surfers, this might be an effective trick. To avoid falling into this trap, ensure that the lock icon is located in the browser's window frame, rather than in the actual web page. And know that a secure site doesn't necessarily guarantee that a site is legitimate. URL masking techniques have the ability to make fake addresses appear to be those of actual secure companies. If you doubt the site's authenticity, call the site's owner.

Another way to evade scam artists is by keeping your browser and operating system updated. Download and install all patches and upgrades so that you are caught up with all the latest security updates.

Install an excellent personal firewall, antivirus software, antispyware software and antispam protection. Because these programs reduce the amount of e-mail phishing scams that come your way, and keep malicious viruses at a distance, you won't have as many chances to fall prey to a phishing attack.

If you follow these rules and know how to stay away from the bait, you can avoid being hooked by a phishing scam. As long as you stay informed about phishing and keep one step ahead of the game, as tactics evolve with the times, you'll be swimming safer waters.

LIFESTYLE TRICKS TO LIMITING YOUR TRADING TIME

I have traveled around the USA teaching thousands of students how to trade with a lifestyle and one of the tricks I use are 3 x 5 cards. I have watched students respond with such excitement that they actually have confidence again and feel in control of their trades. The cards fit in a pocket, wallet or purse and are easy to access. My problem, let's say I am rushing to catch a plane and I can't log onto my computer, is that if my alarm goes off and I don't have my brain in writing in front of me on a 3 x 5 card…then my real brain freezes and I do nothing. This NOTHING is usually a bad decision. The 3 x 5 cards have literally changed and enhanced not only my trading big time, but also hundreds of students now use this success method for time freedom and making better decisions.

I love using my ETA software to keep track of my practice portfolio and my real portfolios. I would be lost without it. This program makes practice trading so easy, practically forces you through closing the trade. A lot of inexperienced traders don't practice trade, because they do not see the value of it. I still practice trade everyday. The reason being, is that you can't trade everything you want all the time. So I practice what I want to trade and then when I come out of a deal and have cash to trade again I know exactly what I want to do because I know the heartbeat of the deal. In addition, as a retired accountant, I use to charge my clients $15 for the form trades get reported on to the IRS and then $5 per trade. That can amount to thousands of dollars a year for tax return fees if you are an active trader …so the ETA software does the work for you and you can print out the schedule at the end of the year and attach it to your tax return as schedule 1 and save a ton of tax preparation fees.

Anyway, back to using 3 x 5 cards to use as a back up for trading, these cards allow me to go on about my day doing anything I want. I can run to the store, go to my kids school, workout or just have fun not thinking about the market. That is what I mean when I say LIFESTYLE TRADING. Nothing could be worse than watching the market so close you have another job! Most students I have taught want their life back, not one more intense time stealer. So with these cards you get to EAT YOUR CAKE AND HAVE IT! Yes, I said it correct, anyone can have a cake and eat. You get to profit in the market on very limited time. What I do is I take the blank side of a 3 x 5 card and:

1. Write on the top 1/4 of it the details of the trade and underline it
2. On the next 1/4 I write the reason for the trade and underline that
3. Then I divide the bottom of the card in two with a vertical line and On the left side I draw support and resistance lines with $ amounts
4. On the right side I put the cost of my option (or stock) in the middle left and circle it. Then I draw a line up and a line down.
5. If I expect the stock to go down to make money (buy put, sell call, etc…) I will use the up arrow for the stock price I need to exit at a cost (pull the plug) and also a price of the option where I don't want to risk any more.
6. If I expect the stock to go up to make money I write this information on the down arrow - trying to make the direction of the arrows flow with the trade.
7. Then I go to the remaining arrow and write the stock price my goal is and the price of my option goal
8. At this point I then go to my REAL TIME MARKET (see below for info) and set the alarms on all of these so that it comes to my cell phone and my computer.

At this point, get on with more important things in your life and let the trade rest of the trade come to you! It is such an incredible freeing up of time, and we all need that.

I have edited in my three cards from the trades I did today so you can see exactly what I mean with my real trades.

On the back of the card I keep notes, perhaps if you are in the trade a few days you could log how the option price is going at $X stock price or what was going on in the market.

If an alarm goes off, my first step is to ask question before I make a move:

1. What is the market the stock follows doing?
2. What is the stock doing?

If you expect the stock to go down, you bought puts, and your upper alarm goes off that the trade is going wrong, I will not pull the plug if it is just kissing the resistance goodbye, so I will reset the alarms.

However, if good news comes out, and the market and stock are raging upwards on high volume the party is over and I jump out immediately.
